I’m Jana and I’m guiding in Prague since 2010.

My background

  • certified tour guide of Prague, Czech Republic, Jewish Quarter and Terezin Memorial
  • studied historian and archeologist from Charles University in Prague (Master degree)
  • special tours focused on the history of the WW2 and 20th century
  • fluent in English, CEFR level C1

What makes my tours different

  • Real stories, not just facts — I don’t just list dates and names. I share the emotional journey behind Prague’s history
  • Hidden gems & local flavour — I’ll take you off the beaten path. The quiet café hidden behind a courtyard, the viewpoint locals don’t advertise, the stories told only in whispers.
  • Tours made for you — Whether you love food, architecture, secret alleys, or WWII history, I shape the tour to what excites you.
  • Passion & authenticity — I GUIDE because I love Prague. My goal is that when you leave, you feel inspired, surprised, and like you really know a bit of the city’s soul.

And something more…

  • For all my clients I provide an e-book with recommended places to visit, such as museums, galleries, shopping and especially restaurants and local coffees
  • After each tour you will receive „homework“ – a list of books and movies about Prague and its history
  • I will also provide you with my own map!

My passion for WWII history

World War II shaped Prague in ways that are still visible today. For me, guiding isn’t only about monuments — it’s about telling the stories of courage, tragedy, and resilience that happened here.

I’ve spent years studying Prague’s WWII history and guiding visitors through places connected to it — from the crypt of the paratroopers who carried out the Heydrich assassination, to memorials, hidden courtyards, and streets where history unfolded.

What makes these tours special is the human side:

  • Stories of ordinary people who risked everything for freedom
  • Accounts of resistance fighters and survivors
  • The impact of war on everyday life in Prague

These are not dry history lectures. They’re powerful, emotional experiences that help you connect with Prague on a deeper level.

Some of my clients:

  • The National WWII Museum in New Orleans
  • Personal Prague Guide and Rick Steves tours
  • River cruises: Viking, Scenic, Ama Waterways
  • and many more private tours
